The Vrge Cybersecurity Team has worked with large companies, start-ups, and nonprofits on their earned media, social media, and owned media efforts. Our team has helped companies announce funding rounds from Seed to Series C worth a total of $228 million.
In my work, I help companies build brands, establish executives as thought leaders, and launch cybersecurity and cyber safety research that becomes industry-recognized benchmarks. To see some of my earned media efforts, please go to the clients on TV and clients in the news pages.

In the last fifteen years, I've been a part of many of the toughest battles in Washington. I worked with "The Dean of the House" during the passage of the Affordable Care Act. I joined a Congressional campaign when an incumbent was trailing in the polls by double digits, but helped turn it around to get a hard fought win. For seven years, I've worked with a nonprofit fighting for social media platform accountability. Beyond the Beltway, I'm working with another nonprofit trying to protect small businesses from cyber attacks and championing another organization working to get more women in cybersecurity jobs. Put it all together, you can see I'm not afraid of a good, tough fight.
I've authored, co-authored, and/or edited more than a half-dozen high-profile cybersecurity research reports, including the award-nominated Selling "Slaving". I've worked the media halls at six BlackHats, five RSAs, five DEFCONs, two ShmooCons, a DerbyCon, and a Gartner. But its when the conferences end that the work really begins.
I've been a communicator / storyteller for more than 25 years. My writing career started in journalism - first with newspapers, then then moving into television where over a decade I would produce newscasts and/or segments in some of America's largest markets. Specifically, I produced the largest revenue-generating newscast in a major chain of stations, worked with the management teams at two stations, and spent a year at CNN's Washington, DC bureau.

After watching politics from control rooms, I got the itch to hit the campaign trial. I worked as the Press Secretary on two highly-competitive US House campaigns - one win and one loss. I also had the good fortune to spend seven years on Capitol Hill working for a historic-making legislator - Congressman John D. Dingell, the longest-serving member in the history of US House. Mr. Dingell was a leading force behind some of the most important bills of the late 20th and early 21st century. I helped craft narratives and managed news coverage around his 50th anniversary in Congress. I also served as the information architect of his award-winning website, and to book him on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
